Join other carpenters, builders, and construction professionals for an evening of networking, presentations, and discussion on building science and construction techniques for high-performance building. Each month, we will have short presentations from guest speakers around a chosen topic and then open discussion among the group. Drinks and snacks are provided and attendance is open to all.
This month, a panel of three seasoned architects specializing in high performance design will discuss what they love most about working with good carpenters — and what they love least. Join us for a lively give-and-take and an opportunity to gain some empathy, learn some useful tips, and benefit from hard-won wisdom about cultivating better project teams.
Panelists include:
Steve Baczek, Steve Baczek Architect
Rick Ames, Next Phase Studios
Stephanie Horowitz, Zero Energy Design
Our host for this month’s session is Sterritt Lumber, 10 Wheeler Ct, Watertown, MA 02472. We’ll be meeting in their upstairs conference room.
Building Science for Carpenters is an ongoing series co-sponsored by the Studio for High-Performance Design & Construction (StudioHPDC), the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB), and Passive House Massachusetts (PHMA).
